No, your teen doesn’t need to be a member to open a Teen Checking Account. The parent or guardian on the account must be a member.

Teen Checking Accounts are exclusively designed for teens aged 13 – 17, with a parent or guardian as a joint owner on the account.

Yes, the Teen Checking Account is a joint checking account, and a parent or guardian must be present to sign as a joint account holder on the account.

To open a Teen Checking Account, you will need the following:

  • Adult’s Unexpired U.S. Government-issued Photo ID
  • Teen’s Identification (one of the following):
    • Photo ID (school or government-issued)
    • Birth Certificate
    • Social Security Card
    • Parent Endorsement (parent must be an established Logix member)
